Freedom Church Activities
We’d love for you to join us at any of our meetings. On this page you’ll find some details of what we have going on, including our Sunday services.
Note on Coronavirus
As of July 2020, government regulations allow us to meet together. As such, our services will resume at the church. For full information, visit our Covid-19 page.
Please note that all other church meetings remain suspended at this time. For the latest details, connect with us on Facebook.
We meet to worship God each Sunday at 10.30am at our church building on Claremont Road. The service is preceded by prayer at 9am, and a social time at 10am.
For full details of our Sunday meetings including FAQs for first-timers, you can visit our Sundays page.
In the Week
Tuesdays, 10am–12pm, Freedom Church Café (currently suspended)
Each Tuesday morning, our café is open for people to meet together and have a chat over a cuppa. Whilst the ‘official’ ending time is 12 noon, we often stay on to pray for each other.
Hi5 CHILDREN’S CLUB
Tuesdays, 5–6.15pm, Freedom Church Café (currently suspended)
Hi5 is our exciting group for primary-aged children. It takes place on alternate Tuesday evenings (in term time) at the church building. No booking necessary, just turn up with your little ones!
The club includes food, games, prayer and a Bible story, with LOADS of laughter! Plus, parents are allowed to stay onsite for the duration, so you don’t have to rush home and back!
All helpers are DBS checked as per our Safeguarding policy, which you can view on our Legal page.
Wednesdays, Various times & locations
To join a Life Group, or to ask any questions about them, you can contact us for details of leaders and venues.
What are Life Groups?
We were never meant to “do life” alone — we are made to interact and support each other; to grow with one another and to glorify God together. One of the ways that Freedom Church seeks to help people find this mutual encouragement is through our Life Groups — small groups of people that meet in people’s homes each week.
Life Groups are suitable for people of all ages, no matter what point of your Christian journey you’ve reached.
What can I expect?
The great thing about these groups is that each one is individual! And yet, they are united in their goal of helping people grow in their faith in an atmosphere of loving support.
So you can expect to laugh. We like to have fun and enjoy life together! You can also expect to grow. We want to help people take forward steps in their relationship with God. And you can expect to be loved. We will not make you feel judged or criticised. We are all ‘works in progress’, taking slow steps together.
When are life groups?
Different groups meet at different times and places, but as a general guide, they meet on Wednesdays, with daytime groups at 10.30am-12pm, and evening ones at 7.30-9pm.
