About Sundays at Freedom Church
Freedom Church comes together on Sunday mornings because worshipping God is part of our lifestyle of freedom.
This page contains information about what goes on during our Sunday meetings, including answers to questions you may have if it’s your first time visiting Freedom Church.
Our times together are designed to give freedom for everyone to participate in expressing their faith and worship. When St Paul wrote his letters encouraging the first churches, he told them:
“When you come together, each one has a song, has a lesson, a revelation, has another language or has an interpretation. Let all things be done for the strengthening of the church.”
We, too, encourage everyone to pick this up enthusiastically. At Freedom Church, we love and value people as individuals with unique gifts.
On a Sunday morning we arrive expecting God to be opening up our hearts and minds to grow in faith. We know that He is with us through His Spirit, creating a sense of reassurance, calm, peace and challenge to live better.
Sundays start with a time for coffee and a chat at 10am. This is a special time for us as we like to meet and greet our visitors, catch-up with people and get to know each other. The service starts around 10.30am, and we aim to finish around 12 noon.
Please note that our meetings are currently a little different due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. You can find all the information you need on our Covid-19 page, here.

Do I need to dress up?
We’re pretty relaxed, so don’t worry about what you look like. But you’re welcome to dress formally if you like, we don’t judge!
What time should I arrive?
Whilst the service starts at 10.30am, we love to meet together beforehand, so feel free to arrive at 10am for a coffee or a cup of tea.
What happens in the service?
Our church service typically includes Spirit-led worship, prayer, Bible talks and personal story-telling. The service will usually be led by someone from our team and, generally speaking, everything finishes around 12pm.
What about kids?
Children are welcome to stay with us through the service, but if preferred, parents may retire with their children to the adjacent open-plan café area. Alternatively, there’s also a separate room equipped with seating and AV links to watch/listen to the service.
Where are the loos?
It can be daunting going in to a new space and not knowing where things are! As you enter, our Gents, Accessible and Ladies toilets are to your left, before you reach our café area. If you need to know where anything is, our friendly stewards will be on hand to answer any questions.
